Hostess Gift

I had a chance today to do the watering can tutorial. This was one of jayne mercers girls night in challenges. It is just so sweet in person, sorry about the bad photos.

I decided to used this as a hostess gift for my weekend workshop. I have rolled a meter of some of my fovourate ribbons and made holes in the side with the slot punch. It makes a lovely thank you gift for a hostess.
If you would like a gift like this one and free stamp sets contact me to organise a workshop.

The tutorial to make one of the sweet litle watering cans can be found here.

Thanks for looking.

Challenge Four

Sorry I missed Challenge three it is definitely worth a look here. I will be giving this ago another day.

Challenge four was a sketch challenge. The sketch an be found HERE. The only requirement was to make the card predominantly pink.

I have used Echo of kindness stamp set with rose red ink, heat & stick powder and dazzling diamonds. Bella rose DSP, pink pirouette, choc chip and whisper white card. The title is from short and sweet stamp set punched from large oval and scalloped oval. I have embellished with jumbo eyelets.

Thanks to Jayne for some amazing inspiration. I was ment to be prepairing for a workshop but couldn't resist join in on the FUN!!!

I am now of to put my donation in so please help out this wonderful course.

Challenge Two

The second challenge was a colour challenge.

Create a card 3D item or layout using the colours pink, black and white.
Any excuse to scrapbook I say and I have to admit to having withdrawals.

For my layout I have used circle circus stamp set, raspberry tart DSP, rose red ribbon all on black cardstock. My photo has not been photoshoped (yep I can't get my head around that program) it's printed black & white and I have coloured the flowers with my blender pens and ink pads using regal rose and some touches of rose red.

Wheres the glitter I here you ask, I have painted kindy glitz on the inside of my hand made flowers.
The journaling reads "Flowers for you mum, they are for my love" oxox

Girls Night In Cyber Stamp

Well I have been completely inspired by the very talented Jayne Mercer to participate in her cyber stamp raising money for Breast Cancer. You can find here blog here and any donations can be made here.

The first Challenge was to choose a card from the idea book & catalogue or spring mini catty and turn it PINK.

I choose page 3 of the spring mini. Whats a PINK card without a sprinkle of glitter!!!!!

I have used Owl together now set, raspberry tart DSP and rose red ribbon.

Sympathy Cards

I have been busy making sympathy Cards because of a recent death in the family.
It isn't something that I had a supply of so I decided to make a few. I am really happy with how they turned out. I don't own any sympathy stamp sets yet they are still on my wish list.

I have the wonderful privilage of LOOKING AFTER my sisters stampin up stamps!!!!! Yep all four boxes of them. Yes I know it is tough. She is moving house so I happily put up my hand to LOOK AFTER them.

I have used Stem Silhouettes (retired set from mini catty) forest friends and curvy verses on choc chip, kiwi kiss and whisper white card stock.

This card I have used stem sillouettes, curvy verses, two way glue pen and glitter.
Once again, yep I really so like this set, stem sillouette, best yet and some rhinstones for a little bling!!.

I wanted to have a play with poppin pastels and pocket sillouettes was the perfect choice. I just love this set!!!!!!. If you are wondering what poppin pastels is turn to page 58 of the Idea book & Catalogue for a demo.
I have used the eyelet boarder punch to create the frame and curvy verses (another fav of mine).

Thanks for looking

Simply Scrappin Kit

I wanted to share some of the layouts I have made with stampin up's simply scrappin kit. This is from the Hoppy memories kit which I love. It is fantastic for boy layouts, having three little boys you can understand why it is for me.

The first is a double 8.5x11 which I am loving doing at the moment, especially as I have lots of A4 cardstock now. I have stamped the boarder with the All scollop's stamp set using my stamp-a-ma-jig.

I wanted to have a play with the sticky cuts and I have to say I am a big fan. Any excuse to add glitter to a layout!!!!! The trunk of my glittery tree is one of the ribbon die cuts from the kit.

My photo is only stuck down on three sides to create a pocket for journaling.

The next 12x12 layout "Play" was done as a demonstration so it doesn't have the detail that I would normally add, but I am happy with how it turned out.
The kits have so many embellishments, six sheets of 15.2x 30.5cm making it fantastic value.
I have put crystal effects on the frog, for a wet glossy look!!!!

Check them out on pages 136 to 138 of the catalogue. For only $36.95 you can catch up on some scrapping in no time.

My First Swap

I was asked recently to join in a card making swap and jumped at the chance. For those of you who aren't sure what I am talking about I'll explain. It's when a group of card makers each make a stack of cards and we send one to each involved so that we all have a variety of different cards at the end.

Here is the card that I made.

I loved doing this, but the best part was definitely receiving each pretty gift in the mail.

A big thanks to Mel Hanlon for organising and to all the lovely ladies that joined in. I look forward to sharing some of the cards once I have received them all.
Untill next time

My love for MINI'S

I just can't ever have enough mini albums, I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. It is an awesome way to scrap a theme, holiday or event.

I was lucky enough to attend the stampin up convention back in May and had a absolute blast. What a way to start the stampin up adventure, as I only joined in April.

So in honour I had to create a mini album. It was autumn in Canberra so you can imagine how beautiful the trees were.......Yep you got it Trendy Trees stamp set beckoning to be used. It just happened to be one of our free sets from attending convention so it was perfect.

The thing that still stands out as my biggest love from convention (besides the beautiful people of course) is the Stamp-a-ma-jig. Oh this is my new best friend. I can't express how much I love this tool.

It's a stamp positioner so all your creations are perfectly aligned.

HOW DID I MAKE THIS TREE ?

1. Trendy trees stamp set
2. Stamp-a-ma-jig

They are just layered on top of each other to make a big tree.

Here is a closer look.

This is what the album looks like inside.

Hope you like it.

Until next time take care

Cassie xoxo

Clever storage idea

I just wanted to share with you all a clever idea for storing your stamping around wheels. Mine have grow over the last few months and were Beginning to get out of hand.

I lovely lady at a weekend retreat told me to store them in a "Pringles" tin!!!!

Yes they fit perfectly!!!!!! I have one for my Jumbo wheels and one for my standards and the best thing is (well maybe besides eating the Pingles tht you can decorate them with pretty paper with is what we love to do best.

I must apologise about the quality of the photos, but this one I have covered with Bella Rose DSP and added a tag.

This one is covered with Urban Garden DSP and finished off with ribbon and a scalloped circle tag.

Take Care until next time

Happy 2nd Birthday Our sweet Boy

I just wanted to share some photos of our little boys 2nd Birthday. He had such a lovely day being the centre of attention. It blows my mind just how fast they pick things up. He knew exacterly what the deal was with candles and could "Hip hip hooray" at the right time.

He is very fond of the night garden, so he was given a uppsy Daisy doll (as all little boys should), kitchen acessories and play food, a new bike, lots of books and some musical instruments.

Nana thought it would be nice for him of have his very own lollie jar (I am not so sure!!!!) as all he wants to eat when we open the pantrie is off course lollies.......

We celebrated at the model steam trains at Edgeworth (in Newcastle). I love this place, it is always a great day for the kids. They all rode the trains all afternoon. Benett was mezmerised by them!!!!
He is quite a little "toot toot" fan now.
Happy Birthday our sweet little boy. You are just a little ray of sunshine in our lives. We are so proud of you and love you to bits.

Saturday, August 8, 2009

Well after a little encouragement I have finally created a blog. I want this to be a place to share what I love with all that are interested. These being my lovely family and of course papercraft.

I have been scrapbooking for five years now, mostly with friends and classes I atttend in my home town Newcastle, NSW.

My latest interest is stamping. I love how easy this technique is and the amazing impact it has on a layout or card. I became an independant Stampin Up demonstrator in April 2009. I am loving sharing there beautiful products with everyone.

Well I hope that you enjoy popping by and sharing some of my creations.

I love these photos of my son giving daddy a nosey love kiss. One of the moment I hope they don't ever forget. I am passionate about recording memories. The good, bad and the ugly. My scrapbooking real life day to day experiences.

The Elephant is made from felt and blanket stiched around each piece. He is a motif off a t-shirt to copied. Then just lots of machine stitching to finish off.

Here are some of my Stampin Up creations so far:-

Gift box using pocket sillouette stamp set.

This is one of the make and takes my ladies have made in July (hello to you all!!!) using one of my favourate stamps inspired by nature.
